Lakeside High School to Undergo 24 Million Dollar Renovation

Lakeside High School will undergo a 24 million dollar renovation which Principal Joe Reed hopes will eliminate 24 temporary trailers in use on the school’s softball fields.

Lakeside High SchoolLakeside High School has not had a major renovation since it construction in 1965.

“The project involves adding 25 new classrooms, a 600-seat fine arts auditorium, science labs, career-technology center and special needs classrooms. The cafeteria, media center, restrooms and locker rooms will also be renovated.”  Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

Lakeside High School houses approximately 1800 students and is located at the intersection of Briarcliff Road and Oak Grove Road in Atlanta Georgia.

The source of the 24 million is a special purchase local option sales tax.
