Sally English
Sally brings a wealth of experience to the English Team: Real estate salesperson in Atlanta since 1984, a broker/owner from 1992 to 1997, a former residential Homebuilder and an experienced real estate marketing and sales professional.

Qualifications

  • CDPE – A Certified Distressed Property Expert® is a real estate professional with specific understanding of the complex issues confronting the real estate industry, and the foreclosure avoidance options available to homeowners. Through comprehensive training and experience, CDPEs are able to provide solutions for homeowners facing hardships in today’s market, specifically short sales.
  • SRES – Senior Real Estate Specialists hold the national SRES designation earned through the Senior Advantage Real Estate Council. These agents have the requisite knowledge and expertise to counsel mature buyers and sellers through financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, selling the family home, or purchasing a home.
  • CRS – Certified Residential Specialist designation (held by only 4 percent of all Realtors Nationwide). Awarded by the Residential Sales Council of the Realtors National Marketing Institute (an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors).
  • GRI – Graduate Realtors Institute designation.
  • REALTOR – Member of the National Association of REALTORS
  • Associate Broker – State of Georgia licensed Broker. Requires 3 years minimum as a Sales Associate and successful completion of Brokers Course.
  • BS – Bachelor of Science Degree – Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Double Major: Mathematics, Engineering Science.

More about Sally

Sally attended Henderson Mill Elementary and Henderson High School (now Henderson Middle School). After obtaining a degree from Vanderbilt University, Sally joined Westinghouse Electric in the Industrial Sales Division. Sally worked in the Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA, Boston, Mass. and New York City offices of Westinghouse. Her responsibilities were sales of industrial electric equipment to manufacturers and distributors.

  • GRI Designation - Obtaining a Graduate Realtors Institute designation (GRI) is analogous to obtaining a CPA, CLU or CFP in other professions and is the highest level of educational achievement in the REALTOR profession.  Fewer than 22% of all REALTORs hold the nationally recognized designation which requires live classes, testing and experience in the profession.
  • Salesperson – Licensed by the State of Georgia as a Sales Associate in 1995. Requires successful completion of the salesperson’s course and examination.

More about Sandy

“I was born and raised in Camden, Maine, a small town on the Coast of Maine.  I go back for a visit every summer and sometimes in the Fall to get my Maine ‘fix.’”

Sandy’s corporate background at Fuqua Industries in Atlanta, Georgia, and as an office manager for New England Life and Maine National Life in Portland, Maine, brings a professionalism to her work as a REALTOR and commitment to exceeding her client’s expectations.

Sandy began her real estate career with Northside Realty in 1996, moved to REMAX Executives in 1999 and joined Sally in the transition to Realty Associates of Atlanta in 2011.

“I’ve lived in Atlanta twice – the first time in the late 70’s to early 80’s for 8 years.  Moved back to Maine for 8 years and then back to Atlanta again in 1992.  I’ve lived in Buckhead, Virginia Highland, Decatur, Chamblee, Dunwoody & Sandy Springs, so I have many Atlanta neighborhood connections.”

Volunteering with Meals on Wheels, working with the elderly, walking, weight training and Book Club consume much of Sandy’s non real estate hours.  Look for her in Trader Joes, Alon Bakery and boutique shops in Buckhead, Virginia Highlands and Roswell as these are favorite Atlanta shopping destinations.  Sandy loves Murphys and MetroFresh restaurants and is a threat to pull over for any new restaurant serving fresh healthy food.

Local festivals, music and concerts are other passions that take Sandy to destinations all around Atlanta. When heading out of town, look for Sandy on the ski slopes in New England and Colorado (cross country and downhill) or along the coast in Maine, Georgia, California, Mexico or Costa Rica.
