I Voted

I voted

As of 7:10 am Tuesday morning I vote, officially, in the 2012 Presidential Election.  It is a privilege to vote for our local, state and national leaders and I have voted in every Presidential election since I was 18 years old.

I votedThis morning I was joined by daughters Ellie (recent college graduate) and Hannah (Sophomore at UGA) as well as my husband Tim as we answered the alarm clocks early call to go vote.

I was in line at my local voting precinct at 6:30 am this morning.  Many of my neighbors were already waiting in line when we arrived.

Thanks to all the poll workers we were efficiently herded through the screening process and received out “cards” to stick in the electronic voting machines in record time.  It is a rather short ballot in my area and in less than a minute – OK maybe 2 minutes – I had cast my ballot in the 2012 Presidential Election.

I voted and so did many of my neighbors.  The system works and we are blessed to have the privilege of voting.
