Its Cold Outside But Buyers Are Hot

The temperature in Atlanta dropped into the 20s last night and it is officially cold outside. But buyers are hot, hot, hot in the Atlanta market. I have written two offers this week and anticipate writing another one Saturday. Sellers who have had their homes on the market for a couple of months are ready to make a move and lower offers are being given more consideration than earlier this year.
If the cold outside has kept you indoors and put your home buying on hold you might want to give some thought to bundling up and getting back out. Looking at houses in December means working around Christmas parties, office parties, shopping and other tasks but the rewards are there.
One of the many good things about shopping for a home in December is finding out a seller actually appreciates having you see the home. Any buyer interest is greeted with enthusiasm and there is a more welcoming attitude towards offers that may need some special considerations.

Don’t wait until January to start house hunting. Call or text me now at 404.229.2995 to start the process. I can put you on an email drip from FMLS that will send out listings – direct to your email inbox – as soon as they hit the market. And you can fine tune the filters to fit your special needs. Be they schools, zip codes, bedrooms, garage etc.

Home sellers – did you read the first paragraph.  I have written offers on 3 homes this week.  Do you really want to wait until January to put your home on the market.  List your home now and get ahead of the pack. There will be a large number of homes listed in January.  You can capture the buyers full attention in December.  In January there will be a lot of competition for buyers and you may not get your home sold as quckly.

Happy house hunting!
