What are those strange things on the horizon? Home buyers are out kicking tires.

Sellers, it is time to make sure you are ready for the spring home buying season.  We have definitely seen a small spike in home buying activity in the past couple of weeks as home buyers are starting to appear on the horizon.

Mortgage interest rates are starting to edge up and our activity meters starting sounding alarms.  This is what we are seeing in regards to February Home buyer activity:

1. Increased activity on English Team websites.  We are getting more visitors than normal and they are hanging around longer as they look at houses online.

2. More buyers doing home searches using the free MLS search engine on the English Team websites

3.  Color flyers being taken from the INFO boxes in front of English Team listings.  Double the number of flyers taken only two weeks back

4. Calls and emails on English Team listings.  Buyers are contacting us with questions about listings.

5. Buyers getting serious about home searches.  English Team buyer clients are getting pre-qualified for mortgage loans so they know exactly what they can afford.

If you have a home to sell, you need to take advantage of the great weather we are going to have this weekend in Atlanta and make sure your curb appeal is up to speed.

1. Pine straw and mulch in all shrubbery beds.

2. Remove any leaves and dead limbs that fell over the winter.

3. Paint the front door, shutters and any other entry items.
