Tucker housing market gone wild

Tucker Housing Market Gone Wild

Tucker Housing Market Gone Wild

Had the Tucker housing market gone wild?  Yes!  Without a doubt.  I listed a two-bedroom townhome in Dillard Crossing. This is a really nice townhome community tucked into a quiet corner behind the Zaxby’s restaurant in Tucker.  The price point was affordable – $230,000.  We were prepared for a lot of showings and quite frankly a lot of offers well above the list price.

The results were shocking.  After listing the home for sale Friday at 5:00 pm, we had 55 showings and 20 written offers in two days.  The front door barely got shut on Saturday and Sunday as 55 different real estate agents showed the townhome.  Vinnie Doran, who is a fantastic handyman, was installing a new microwave oven on Saturday and 7 agents showed the home while he pulled the microwave oven out of the box and installed it in the wall.

  • 55 showings in 2 days
  • 20 plus written offers
  • One lucky buyer

As is customary in a multiple offer situation I have called for “highest and best” offers to be delivered to me by 11:00 am today Monday, April 11.   I don’t doubt there will be offers that dribble in over the next few days.  But the owner plans to pick one of the offers tonight and sign it.  Who will be the lucky buyer? The Tucker housing market has gone wild
