We watched the Netflix special on her life as a country music artist and it is impressive how she started out life in a small town in rural Ontario, Canada, and then became a worldwide country music star. If you haven’t watched this special I urge you to give it a go. It is both inspirational but also heartbreaking.
But wait – this is a real estate blog. Where am I going with all the Shania Twain stuff? My take on most of the real estate inventory on the market is the same perspective Shania gives on the men in her life “You don’t impress me much” Sellers are living in the past – in the booming real estate market of last spring. They continue to believe that they don’t have to do anything to the home except list it for sale. Then BOOM – 15 offers in hand.
Well folks that ship has sailed. If you want to SELL your home in this market you have to make some effort to get your home ready for the market. You don’t have to spend much money. You don’t have to spend weeks knocking yourself out making it look all gorgeous. But you will need to “put on some makeup” and “fix your hair” as my momma would say.
