Charming Brick Ranch home renovated to create a delightful space for your family. Newly refinished hardwood floors throughout the home, fresh paint, and Anderson quality glass doors add a lot of charm to this home. The chef in your family will enjoy a 5-burner gas range, granite countertops, and ample cabinet storage space. Best of all, the kitchen is central to all the main living spaces, and you are always part of the fun, even if you are in charge of dinner for the evening. A spacious breakfast/dining area has a serving buffet (with storage below) and cabinets with glass door inserts to display your drinkware collection, china, pottery, or your special collection. This would also make a great coffee bar where you could arrange your coffee maker and all the supplies to get that morning cup of coffee brewing.
A keeping room next to the kitchen was originally the family room. Now it offers flex space for your family: room for another dining table, desks, a sitting area, or a TV area. You will know the greatest need for your family, and the space is ready to make that happen. Two glass doors lead from this area to a more common living space. One door leads to a family room with a brick fireplace (gas logs) and generous space for watching the big game on TV. Or just chill with family and friends. There is carpet floor covering in this room to keep it cozy, and some bookshelves for your collections. A second door leads to a Sun Room with three walls of windows. This attractive space can be enjoyed in all 4 seasons. Three walls of windows bring in the sunshine and a ceiling fan overhead keeps it cool. There is carpet in this room also.
Today’s workspace extends to the home, and there is a wonderful multi-purpose space in this home that would be perfect for an office. It might have been a formal living room or dining room back in the day, but it is ready for service as your deluxe home office today. Hardwood floors and triple windows add to that functionality. Or maybe you need a playroom or an additional sitting room – boom, it is ready to go. You could also use it for a nursery or even a 4th bedroom.
The bedroom wing is very private and leads to the primary suite in the back right corner. The spacious primary bedroom has gleaming hardwood floors, a ceiling fan, and two windows. The private primary bathroom has been fully renovated and includes a walk-in shower with glass doors. There are two sprayers, including a handheld one. The ceramic tile floor and walls make cleanup easy. A new vanity cabinet and sink add a touch of luxury.
The two secondary bedrooms are both spacious and feature hardwood floors. A fully renovated hall bathroom has a tub-shower combination, a new ceramic tile floor, and a nice vanity cabinet and sink.
The entry hall features a slate stone floor.
A porch runs along the front of the house and keeps you dry while you unlock the front door. And you will appreciate the circular driveway as you shuffle cars around. The driveway also extends along the side of the house through a gate to a back parking pad with two generously sized covered parking spaces. There is room for your boat or camper, sports car or truck. The backyard is fully fenced and ready for your dog or pet. Plenty of room for outdoor fun and games on the grassed lawn.
MORE
This charming and newly renovated brick ranch home is thoughtfully designed to balance modern efficiency with classic comfort, starting with a slate-tiled entry that transitions into open living areas featuring newly refinished hardwood floors. At the center of the home, the gourmet kitchen serves as a high-performance hub for the family chef, featuring a professional-grade 5-burner gas range, durable granite countertops, and extensive storage that ensures dinner preparation remains an interactive part of the household’s daily flow. Adjacent to the kitchen, a dining area could also function as a versatile beverage center or coffee bar with a built-in serving buffet and glass-front cabinetry for organized display. On the other side of the kitchen, the original separate family room has been reimagined as a flexible “keeping room,” offering an adaptable footprint for a secondary dining table, homework desks, or a casual sitting area. For relaxation, a generous family room addition provides a cozy retreat with a gas-log brick fireplace and integrated bookshelves. A four-season sunroom—wrapped in three walls of windows—functions as a bright, year-round sanctuary for reading or plant cultivation. Addressing modern professional needs, anadditional multi-purpose room – probably a formal living or dining room back in the day – offers the functionality of a deluxe home office with triple windows for abundant natural light, though it can easily pivot into a playroom, nursery, or a fourth bedroom. The private bedroom wing ensures a quiet transition to the fully renovated primary suite, which includes a luxury bathroom with a dual-sprayer walk-in tile shower, easy to clean new ceramic floor and a nice vanity cabinet and sink. The two secondary bedrooms are both spacious and feature hardwood floors. A fully renovated hall bathroom has a tub-shower combination, a new ceramic tile floor, and a nice vanity cabinet and sink. Practicality extends outdoors, where a circular driveway simplifies car management and a gated side drive leads to an expansive parking pad with two covered spaces large enough to shield a boat, camper, or utility vehicle, all within a fully fenced backyard ready for pets and recreation.

HENDERSON PARK

Henderson Park Community Gardens:
The Henderson Park Community Garden is located on part of the new 7-acre park expansion and consists of 56 4×10 plots, four of them dedicated to growing food for the Friends of St. Martin de Porres food ministry at Holy Cross Catholic Church. All 52 rental plots have been rented.
We are an organic garden. Though the land on which our garden sits is owned by DeKalb County, we are its stewards. Our commitment to organic gardening extends beyond its practice to increasing its acceptance and use as the most effective method for growing healthy plants and building healthy soil. Our first class in the garden (Gardening 101 Demonstration) illustrated this commitment with lessons on the history and consequences of synthetic and chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and the availability, superiority, and application of natural inputs. The class concluded with hands-on transplanting demonstrations.
Run by an all-volunteer organization, the garden consists of community-minded, health-conscious members who value conservation, self-reliance, civic participation, and neighborhood beautification. Our founding members have donated thousands of hours of labor and sweat equity to turn our dream of a garden into a reality.
Advocates of community gardening cite “community cohesion” and “increased social interaction” as two of its many benefits. These are certainly in evidence in our young garden, which has become more than just a place for people to gather; the garden actually creates the opportunity for people to connect. Additionally, the Henderson Park Community Garden connects Tucker to its agricultural roots as the process of sowing, tending, and reaping provides the link to a past when most people knew how to grow their own food.
The Henderson Park Community Garden was started under DeKalb County’s Garden in the Parks program. In accordance with the program, the HPCG is responsible for the development, construction, upkeep, watering, and overall maintenance of the garden area; ensuring that garden rules are followed; handling plot rentals; and paying permit fees and water usage charges.
