Outdoor Furniture Supply Chain Delays

Shopping for outdoor furniture this weekend? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Most of us have been prepping for the anticipated Atlanta Snowmagedden Sunday. But I was shopping because I need some new furniture and the delivery time is FOUR TO SIX MONTHS. Just a heads up for all those folks who bought a home in 2021 and may be thinking about a new outdoor dining table or a lounger.

I am interested in purchasing a 48 inch round dining table set and two Adirondack-style chairs. I visited American Casual Living near the Buford Mall and checked out the poly plate material items. This is a synthetic composite material similar to Trex deck flooring. There are several manufacturers using this material. It lasts much longer than teak wood and it is low low maintenance.

Unfortunately, most of the manufacturers are quoting delivery times of 4 to 6 months. As I am writing this it is January 15 so I am potentially looking at a JULY 15 delivery. THe supply chain has gone crazy! If you bought a home in 2021 and are thinking about furnishing your patio, deck, pool or screen porch – get moving if you want to have it delivered by this summer!
