Movie Filming at Henderson Park

Jennifer Garner is walking the TYSA Soccer fields this week as movie filming of the Disney Movie “The Odd Life of Timothy Greeen” is underway.  Traffic signs warn that motorists should be prepared to stop between March 21st and March 25th as the Tucker youth Soccer Association soccer fields are turned into a movie set.

Parking for Extras, production vehicles and catering have been arranged around the Northlake

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

neighborhood at Saint Bedes Church, Northlake Mall and other neighborhood institutions.

We looked for Jennifer Garner as we drove by but it looked like everyone was taking a break from filming.

DeKalb police are working the scene so don’t even think about crashing the film set.

Who – whee, what fun.

Henderson Park is home to the Tucker Youth Soccer Association – TYSA.  Hundreds of children and teenagers take to the fields after school and on weekends to participate in US Soccer sanctioned soccer teams.  Most of the teams are parent coached.  Some teams have hired professional coaches and participate in competitve leagues. Movie Filming at Henderson Park disrupted some of the activities but you can bet all the kids who missed a few days of soccer practice will be at movie theatres to see The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
