Hawthorne has been winning awards right and left as students, teachers and parents raised the bar for performance standards. They got a little help from re-development of some lower income apartments in the area. But the results have gone far beyond that variable and many parents now seek out Hawthorne Elementary Schol for their children’s elementary school experience.
