Atlanta Beltline Art

Altanta Beltline Art installationAtlanta Beltline Art adds to the experience when walking or biking the trail.  The Beltline is still in its infancy so there are a lot of ugly areas.  Adding art to the trail takes your eye away from the grunge and focuses it on the beauty and creativity of the sculptor or painter.

Atlanta Beltline Art During a recent walk from Ansley Mall to the Fourth Ward, I encountered some lovely installations that scream to be shared with those who have not yet made it out to the Atlanta Beltline.

The most invigorating part of the experience was the diversity and placement of the art.

Adding to the experience are restaurants, cafes and businesses along the Beltline that have used art to advertise or enhance the “back” of the buildings in which they are housed.

I realize section of the Beltline has received a lot more attention and resources due its proximity to Piedmont Park.  From the plantings by Trees Atlanta and the paved walkway, it appears this section of the Beltline has been the “showplace” to exhibit what the Beltline potential could be.

I look forward to the “future” Beltline where art installations surround the City and offer all sections of Atlanta an opportunity to enjoy the creativity of Atlanta’s vibrant arts community.DSC_4378 Beltline Art
